All-the-girls formation from Helsinki (Finland) was founded in 2002. There is their second album titled “Breaking all the rules”.
How many bands with girlish line-up you’ve been heard of? It seems you need only fingers of one palm to count them. This year you have great chance to listen to the girls with balls (of steel). There are no desperate housewives, these girls are chilling and grilling all over the parties. Aggressive, spicy and caustic atmosphere runs through the entire album. All the rockers problems converted in female interpretation. How about “STFU” masterpiece? “Shut the f*ck up and dance// I wanna see your move” is poppy enough to be spinning on the radio. Another dancing one is “Love Machine” with cliché “I’m love machine”. One more time, please, baby. The ballad “Gun in my hand” dots all “I” and crosses all “t” with love theme. The love can’t be fixed in romantic way, only hardcore version of this thing allowed. The touching track “Due time” has powerful intro and not less impressive chorus. The familiar motif you can listen in the opener “Crashing down”. That’s what hard rock is probably would be. So as be loaded and wasted forever. The monologue with bartender in the “One more (and I’ll be gone)” warned that party ain’t over.
Only because it’s all girlish I’m not being in sympathy with it. But some tracks fills with energy to the max. The girls have ability to kick some heavy arses or punch in the guts. Don’t mess with the girls!
