Cloak of Altering is a project by Mories. He started it as Ophiuchus in the mid-nineties, and then it evolved into Cloak of Altering in 2011 according himself. While recently a De Magia Veterum released a new album, it is now a Cloak of Altering album that comes out: “Ancient Paths Through Timeless Voids” is out now.
Black Metal as pure as it can come, full of passion it battles a path through some industrial elements. Tempo is in it, are you ready to keep up with it? There is a whole lot coming to you. A little moment of peace comes right at the start of “All I See Is Dead Stars” but if you do not bother to notice, you are too late as it all goes on straight with more rage. No mercy, you have to submit, a whole dark story passes by you, but it has more different sides. It swings you from left to right and gives you plenty moments to think about. That moment you think you still see a bit of light through this darker than dark material that comes speeding by gets brutally destroyed as soon as you thought of it, to tease you with some more of that later. Basically the best description for this album: a tease. When it is over you feel like you want more of it, awesome.
