Ambient Black Metal project Lord Agheros is from the hands of Evangelou Gerassimos. At the end of 2012 a fourth full length album by hands came out. “Demiurgo” is available now.
This time we got an album that has two chapters, double the pleasure he must have thought. Good, it is not as creepy as the sound of the recently released albums of for example De Magia Veterum, but that does not seem to be the intention of it anyway. Some nice story is lay down for you, it has its darker moments but a little ‘epic’ comes into it also. The story is not as direct as some may expect, it takes you some time to get along and the climax into it may often come a little later than expected. That is fine as the ride towards it is pleasant. You’ll be guided through some different influences, some voices here and there, but never really in the foreground. The classical elements bring some balance into it and seem to bring some peace as well. No, it is not a mean album, so if that’s the way you like your Black Metal you surely don’t have to be bothered but if you enjoy listening an album that is complete, sets down the story and drives you into it then don’t let any label scare you away as “Demiurgo” will serve you pleasantly.
