The Rockford Heroes are a Swedish formation that does not have too many years behind them. Yet, the members have experience with other bands and now together they came to the release of a debut EP called “Light Scares”. This year the band returns with a new EP simply called: “The White EP”.
These Rockford Heroes are up for bringing a mix of the past and the presence; the old Heavy Metal spirit is in there, quite melodic and then the band makes it come together with a more modern style. This comes with the advantage of a decent production, maybe balancing in the border of being too polished but they stay on the right side. The guys have the catchiness as their advance, the vocals are part of that but with the guitars the sound gets the real shape. Sharp solo’s keep your attention with the tracks and show that they can create interesting moments at the right time. As little remark to make it must be said that drums sometimes tend to fall away into the background, a bit more domination of those would give the sound a strong basis which may give them that extra boost when needed. Overall, the guys have done a good job. This EP makes that you remember their sound so hopefully the guys will come with a full length soon.
