Red Lamb – Red Lamb

Releasedate: 2012; Label: MIG Music
By: Sabine van Gameren

Red Lamb is an American rock duo, formed in Palm Beach, Florida in 2010. It is formed by Dan Spitz, known as Anthrax’ frontman. “Red Lamb” is the first album they release.

Important to know is that this album is not only supporting the cause of children with autism(50 cent of each sold album goes to ‘Autism Speaks’), but that it is based on the experiences of those. Makes the album and its lyrics a little more real as it comes from something so real. Musically Dan brings music that is lighter than you might expect from him, but the Thrash edge is still on it. Just a bit more commercial and catchy. Each track that is on the album has a little different sound, but they are still in touch with each other. “Warpaint” is a track that is quite calm the lyrics are leading while in a track like “The Cage” the instrumentals take a more dominant part of it. Simply said, “Red Lamb” is a collection of tracks that bring the Hard Rock feeling, Seether catchiness and the Anthrax feeling throughout. It is worth listening for the songs and the music and with buying it you support the good cause, what else do you want?
