Smoke Fairies is the British bluesy folk female duo. They released the second recording “Blood speaks” this May.
Let the blood speaks. The album is pretty monotonic. Lyrics are philosophic and touching for sure. Can’t mention the key track. But “The three of us” is worthy to be heard. It could be name ‘more energetic’ but it’s a mess with the terms. The Americana atmosphere with all those up and down chords. The piano track “Daylight” literally might be associated with the shy sun blossoming through the night sky. The piano tracks usually supposed to be philosophic because the equipment sounds in that way. The “Blood speaks” is almost a capella. The blood is the lead singer that makes all the organs feels alive and the brain dreams. The atmosphere of the entire album is cosmic, magical and meaningful. There are many sweet epithets existing but the word “boring” describes everything. But my opinion is absolutely subjective so you could like it as Jack White.
Someone smart said “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” I guess the band aims as high as they can. Unfortunately, fairies lullabies are not for everyone.
