Cyclophonia is a Power Metal band from Norway that founded in 1997. At first they were mainly doing covers two years later they broke up but in 2006 they got back together to go on with their mission. In 2011 they entered the studio which resulted in a new album that is out right now: “Impact Is Imminent”.

Cyclophonia brings a tradition Power Metal arrangement, two guitarist that bring a large variety of riffs, quite innovative and it is nice to see that they are stepping away from the stereotype here and there, you don’t feel like you can predict what is coming where other bands often bring the same type of riffs. The band works with two vocalists which gives a quite dynamic effect. The two are adjusting each other quite well while that are not standing apart too much in range.
Also the drums are very well done within the release. It stands quite upfront which gives it all a good body. “Impact Is Imminent” is an album that is well thought, the band have surely taken their time for it and it has paid off. Comes together with a good production which makes this release one that will get played quite some times.
