Centurion is a Polish Death Metal formation that maybe is not known as being the most active releasers, their previous full length dates back to 2002. So it took them quite some time to come with “Serve No One”.
So it took them some time, but then you may expect something. Centurion lives up to it in quite a strong way, their vicious and angry Death Metal wakes you up straight from the start. The rage goes on and on, no time to gasp for air because within 30 minutes it must all come out and destroy you.
The tension is there, every minute you feel more hasty, running through the music and the band makes this even more vivid with a strong drum that chases this guitars and leave it up into some race to towards the end. Comes to say, to enjoy this album you must press repeat. If it’s nice, play it twice.
“Serve No One” is a release that comes fast, before you know it is over. Perhaps a few more tracks would have made it more complete, but now the hunger stays alive. Hopefully it won’t take another ten years before a new release comes out.
