Heavy Metal formation Gravety started in the year 2009. They wanted to combine Thrash Metal with Doom elements to create a dark and aggressive sound. This year the band comes with their debut album “Into The Fire”.
I must say, if you expect something completely new, you might get disappointed with this band very fast. Heavy Metal, oh yes, but nothing new under the sun here. If you have set yourself beyond these expectations you’ll find yourself listening to a band that does bring quality. Good riffs, well composed tracks and some variation here and there to spice it up. On the vocal side you hear Kevin Portz that does a good job but is not really unique either. He could go a bit more into the extremer sides and expand his range by finding out the borders of it. Gravity is obviously a band on the grow, that may have hurt themselves by the words used to promote themselves. Look beyond that and you’ll find a decent band that you can listen to and maybe expect some more of in the future. “Into The Fire”is there to show where they are right now, it’s a start.
