Blackmail is a German indie rock band from Koblenz, Germany which was started briefly in 1993. Blackmail are singer Mathias Reetz, brothers Kurt Ebelhäuser (lead guitars) and Carlos Ebelhäuser (bass) and drummer Mario Matthias. Their style of music usually varies, but mainly consists of the indie rock genre which is combined with experimentation of electronic music, progressive rock, alternative rock and dance. It is also known for its harsh and high-pitched guitar melodies.

Their seventh album is called “Anima Now!” It comes with thirteen songs. Already shortly after pressing play the album blasts at you with full speed. Blackmail rock your mind away with all the great melodies the band combined on this new album. Brilliant artwork, amazing music and great lyrics. Most songs are meant to get stuck in your head. Simply wonderful. This band knows how to excite the listener. The booklet contains lyrics as well as pictures of each band member. The layout itself is very simple and yet it has quite some hidden details. A pleasure to look through. What a wonderful set of songs as well. It is a pleasure to listen to the album and press replay once it’s finished. Blackmail’s new album “Anima Now!” is simply brilliant. So go get it now.
