Devastracktor is a Finnish Thrash Metal formation that started in 2009. At the end of 2011 the band came with their debut full length release “Warhorsepowers And A Megaton Of Balls”.

The band must have had in mind to bring a quite raw, old school sound. Certainly works that way as the material is not really polished too much so it gives you the idea the sound could have been recorded years ago and pulled out of an archive. When you get further into the tracklist of this release you found yourself more comfortable with the way they work. With the riffs given you can find yourself entertained. There is plenty of place for solo’s and when the raw and raspy vocals come back in you feel yourself captivated by it a little more. The fans of that good old Thrash will certainly enjoy listening to “Warhorsepowers And A Megaton Of Balls”, it has maybe not the most modern production, but nostalgia is a great thing for releases like this. Great guitar solos will bring the people into it all, surely the highlight of the release. Those really make the band stand out. Maybe not building any bridges for what is outside of the genre, but simply an enjoyable Thrash release.
