One Morning Left is a band from Finland. You can find them under the Core with their debut album “The Bree TeenZ”.
One Morning Left is not you stereotypical core band, loads of style and genre blending and oddities, just as the band For The Imperium (also from Finland) which dropped their debut on our table. Though, this band brings it all to higher level. Some of the songs have an electro/industrial beat in the background showing the band goes quite far from what you would expect in this genre. Maybe a bit too far for the liking of many. It also comes to notice that these guys find a great deal in dissing other bands in their music. Gangsta Rap goes Core? Interesting enough, but it is to question how far can you go with that on your debut?
Musically it has its moments, the vocals are quite raw and when these tunes you recognize of your childhood are included the party mood comes up fast enough. Yet it misses one thing and that is the idea that the band just takes anything serious at all. It’s an ok release, but the band may have focussed a bit too much on their humoristic side and so come there is still plenty to improve but in some way you can imagine the band makes great parties out of their live gigs.
