Bloodgroup is a band from Iceland. This four-piece band is known for sensational live shows, their captivating melodies and powerfully crafted brand of electronic music. Bloodgroup released their debut album, Sticky Situation, in November 2007. The album was very well received, and Bloodgroup were considered as one of the most interesting bands in Iceland following its release. The next two years were spent mostly on touring, playing festivals like SXSW in Austin, Texas, NXNE in Toronto, Canada, Roskilde festival in Denmark, CMJ in New York, Eurosonic in the Netherlands and Iceland Airwaves.
Now they released their new album, called “Dryland”, here in Europe after it has been released in Iceland for a while already. The for us new album comes with eleven tracks. The cover looks very interesting and artistic. Somehow it reminds of a circus poster from the 20s or 30s. The female vocalist leads you through the dreamy music of “Dryland”. Catchy and danceable tunes alongside slower and more thoughtful tunes. Eleven songs full of energy and the power to take your thoughts off daily troubles. “Dryland” sounds like summer spent in the shade with a chilled drink. Bloodgroup created one funky album with “Dryland”. Enjoy their new piece of music.
