Design The Skyline is a new band in the Victory Records artist pool and have now released their new album “Nevaeh”.
“Nevaeh” comes with ten tracks and is loud. Shouted vocals along with some higher pitched screamed vocals, harsh riffs and heavy drums this album is full of sound – maybe even noise. The lyrics are not understandable at all the way it is screamed and shouted. The guitar plays some nice and catchy melodies on some tracks but it stands alone with that. All other instruments including vocals are crunched together into one big mosh of sound. Not sure in what genre this album belongs, but honestly, it does not really sound like either of the metal sub-genres will love this one too much. The album shows space, a prism built out of triangles and an eagle holding a glowing heart or something. Just like the music it seems like there were too many ideas and one could not decide, so they just took them all. Not really the best start, but lets see what Design The Skyline still has to offer. Maybe the next album will be brilliant and make up for the past. Until then enjoy their latest release “Nevaeh”.
