Full Force is a Swedish band formed in 2009. The Heavy Metal formation comes with their album “One”.
Fullforce was formed by members Mike Andersson (Cloudscape, vocals), Stefan Elmgren (ex Hammerfall, Guitars), Anders Johansson (Hammerfall, ex Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Drums), CJ Grimmark (ex Narnia, Guitars) and Tommy Larsson (ex Heed, Bass) and this may have brought you to the idea that this is an all-star project, but the warning is there. This is not intended as a project but as an actual band that has touring plans and more albums to be released in the upcoming years.
Great ambition these guys have, but it is still to the audience to decide if these guys are bringing material that is worth listening to. “One” is an album that has the stress on melodic sounds, easy to listen to vocals and a small dose of catchiness. The songs are all quite varied, some songs a little faster than the other. All together it is well composed and that may not be much of an surprise. Good to see they found a nice balance between the instruments and not give an overkill to any. The only thing that is missing is that ultimate theme song to Full Forces. The song that people will remember, sing a long and always match with the band. Ah well, as they keep their promises some more material will come and so comes the chance it will be there next time. We wouldn’t mind another release of them.
