FM Belfast is an electro/electronica band from Reykjavík, Iceland. Its members include Lóa Hlín Hjálmtýsdóttir, Árni Rúnar Hlöðversson, Árni Vilhjálmsson and Örvar Þóreyjarson Smárason. FM Belfast formed in late 2005 as a duo with Árni Rúnar Hlöðversson (Plúseinn) and Lóa Hlín Hjálmtýsdóttir. The band was a studio project for some time until the Iceland Airwaves festival 2006 when the band expanded into a full-on live act. The members now vary from 3 to 8 depending on who can make it. This is their second studio album called “Don’t Want To Sleep”.
The new album comes with eleven tracks and spreads a good mood. “Don’t Want To Sleep” by FM Belfast makes you want to dance along and have good time. All eleven tracks are catchy and thriving. All songs are very interesting to listen to and take you by the hands to twirl around through the room, dance and move to the music.
