Nomad is a metal formation from Poland. The band started in 1994 released their debut in 1997. Anno 2011 the band releases their album “Transmigration of Consciousness” which is their fifth full length release.
The album counts 17 tracks but half of them are intro’s. Each song has its own intro and the whole album is granted with an outro too. What the band brings is Death Metal, but often if quite slow form. The heavy guitars are dragging the track but do not have the most original sounds. What is more interesting is the drums, some creative use of those makes the album come forward a little more. Vocal wise the grunts seem quite ok, but are not as strong as they could have been. The album has its moments but all in general the album does not bring a lot of variation and what has been done here could have come out way bigger than it is now. The band does get some credits for the amazing artwork. It is a huge ship floating off in space and with all its detail it is good that it is supplied as a poster as well in the booklet. Expectations for this album were a bit higher than what is brought, better luck next time.
