Warfare is a British formation making Speed Metal/Heavy Metal. They formed in 1982 but are currently not playing together. Some compilation albums have been released and anno 2011 there is a new compilation album coming out: “The New Age For Total Warfare”.
Warfare is a band that have experimented with different influences in their career and that comes quite clear when listening to this album. Some Black Metal influences can be heard but a step towards the punk is also made, which makes the music quite diverse to listen to. The compilation exists out of songs throughout their whole career and Music like this becomes more and more relevant again these days and the release of this album is therefore a nice introduction to those who discover the band right now. What the extra add is over the other three compilations that have been made of Warfare, is not completely clear though there are a few live recordings on the album that may interest the die hard Warfare fans.
A nice release, but since it is the fourth compilation album on a band that released five studio albums and a few small releases is maybe a bit over the top.
