Insense is a Norwegian Metal band. The band recently released their album “Burn In Beautiful Fire” on Indie Recordings.
All to find about the band is a bunch of quotes over them, therefore it makes more sense to let the music speak to you. Of course there are only quotes that praises them into heaven, which soon brings you a disappointment. The band has a commercial edge, the metal core is somehow catchy, but what is lacking is something creative and refreshing. Haven’t we heard this a million times before and probably better? Lyrics aren’t the best part of this band anyway and luckily the amount of vocals is not that high anyway. It’s mainly the guitars that are suppose to catch you, but unfortunately they do not seem to stand out that much above basic. Maybe the expectations were higher, maybe it is just that after a few songs it al gets a bit boring, but they are just not that convincing. You keep on waiting until that aggressive breakout comes and the party starts. So, basically what you can do is listen to this band without reading their “biography” so you don’t get confronted with false hope and references or decide that this album is not the best that came out and wait for the next one before giving these guys a try.
