Demonical is a Swedish Death Metal formation that started in 2006. The band released two full lengths before, making “Death Infernal” their third musical baby in this world.
Demonical goes straightforward in their sound. Aggressive and brutal making their music thick and quite stereotypical for what you might expect when the word Death Metal and Swedish come in. They come with quite some speed, great riffs and drums that stand up quite strong in the mix. Before you know it, you made it through the record and you wonder how many songs you actually heard, as the downside of this release comes with the fact that the tracks are quite alike and some more diversity could have brought a the difference. But who cares. Demonical goes strong as train and maybe in couple of years the band stands right next to Amon Amarth and Grave. Now they are building on this status and reputation and “Death Infernal” shows the work in progress. Maybe a little bit more experimenting to make it a bit more surprising and exciting and then it is not unthinking that their next release will be a killer album that people remember immediately when speaking of them.
