Steak Number Eight is a Belgium quartet making Post Rock/Noise. They are quite a young band, but “All is Chaos” is their second album.
The opener of the album sets the tone right away. This album is one that people will talk about. They will speak about the gigantic riffs that built up much tension and smack you in your face with directness but at the same time take their time to climb up to the climax. You must be prepared that you do not feel satisfied to soon, because in no time after your expectations are reached the band tops it, and again if needed. Do they know how to stop or is this rage and violence coming out until someone cuts them off? Surprises here and there and when you think it all gets a bit too dark there are melodic parts to eat your heart out. So basically the guys of this band are the kings in throwing you up and down the lane, mix up your emotional feelings over them by being various and yet remain interesting, because it are not just different pieces, but they actually built their steps and stairs to them, bridges and slides, you are guided. You don’t have to feel lost with them and that is exactly why their sound is so confidential and makes it easy to pick up. “All Is Chaos” is a wonderful album that you should really give a try!
