Rev 16:8 was born from the ashes of Bloodshed in early 2008. Initially consisting of a five piece: Themgoroth, Nefastus, Ill, Pata and Talon. A promo-pack was soon recorded and the first gigs scheduled in Germany. The recording of the first studio album entitled ‘Grand tidal rave’ started in late 2008 with the band’s core members Pata, Nefastus and Talon. It was later released by Temple of darkness records in 2009. The first full length received top scores in several magazines and was voted album of the month in Haven Metal, France. Now their new album “Ashlands” is released.
The new album of Rev 16:8 “Ashland” comes with ten tracks. The main focus of this music is on guitar. The vocals are way in the background of the music, almost hard to hear at all. The gloomy and apocalyptic sound as well as the album title definitely match the bible verse Rev. 16:8. Fast shredding riffs and the arrangements in general will be loved by black metal fans and about every other metal head. So if you are one of the head banging metal fans that enjoy black metal, “Ashlands” by Rev 16:8 is definitely a must have for you.
