The Kills is a rock band formed by American singer Alison Mosshart (“VV”) and British guitarist Jamie Hince (“Hotel”). Their three albums, “Keep On Your Mean Side”, “No Wow” and “Midnight Boom”, have gathered much critical praise. Now their fourth album is out now called “Blood Pressures”.

The new The Kills album is very interesting to listen to. The music is very diversified, varying in style. The first song “Future Starts Slow” has synth pop elements in it. The second one called “Satellite” is very groovy. “Heart Is A Beating Drum” is a catchy song that makes you want to dance and sing along. The album continues with like that: each song telling a different story and sounding like it could fit into a different genre. “The Last Goodbye” for example sounds like a 30s song. The Kills created a very interesting album with “Blood Pressures”. Neither bright nor sad melodies, somehow neutral and mellow yet deep and interesting, getting you curious The Kills get you hooked on “Blood Pressures”. Revealing new depths with each listen The Kills keep this album rotating in your player, curious what you will find next. Like a story being told, over and over again but it seems different every time you listen. The Kills did not create songs for the dance floor and yet do they cause the urge in you to move along. The music itself does not spread a mood but instead it amplifies the mood you are in and makes you want to dance it away. “Blood Pressures” could be the soundtrack for an entire life, it includes everything one has to go through while walking along the path of life. Many songs on the album are getting stuck in your head easily. “Blood Pressures” is an interesting album with music that doesn’t reveal much at first sight – or listen – but reveals just as much to catch your interest and cause a curiosity in you. So enjoy the new The Kills album “Blood Pressures”.
