Kingdom Come has been formed in 1987. They make Hard Rock and come from Germany. Their album “Rendered Waters” is out now.
This album is not really full of new material. It contains eight old songs and only three new songs. Vocalist Lenny, often compared to Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant, found the need to modernize the old song. Obviously they have chosen some of the strongest songs of their career, which makes this album an instant hit for the fans. New listeners will have a good overview of what the band has done before and maybe this is more a compilation album than a brand new release. Taken the three new songs, it is makes sense to say that the guys have made the whole album in one line. With the old songs re-recorded and the new songs you go time travelling in the comfort of your own chair. Though, the downside of it is that you keep longing for more new material. Maybe Kenny have done this on purpose and can we expect a full new release of them soon, but for now we are stuck with an album that is modernized, but not really completely satisfactory. It is a good way to get to know the band, but how the fans will appreciate it is to question.
