Funeral For A Friend is a British formation that founded in 2001. The band have known quite some lineup changes through the years. Nevertheless this release called: “Welcome Home Armageddon” is the bands fifth studio full length.
The album follows up a greatest hits album that got released last year. Yet again the band comes with a very clean produced album, but not really refreshing from what we were used to from these guys. The one songs sounds even more dramatic than the other, that is what the band is good for, working on the screaming emotions of their fans. Must be said that they attempted to give some more power in songs “Front Row Seats To The End Of The World” but overall the band keeps kicking back to their old concept. After these years I hoped the band would have taken some more risks to show a different side, but this did not really happen on this record. It is a melodic album, you have to be able to dig the emo side on them, but the qualities the band has are yet again showcased very well. Don’t expect any rarities on this album, it is just another one in line of the band and there is nothing wrong that. Though, it is not that adventurous either.
