Jag Panzer is an American band making Heavy Metal. The formed in 1981, so with 30 years of existence they have set themselves a strong reputation. “The Scourge of Light”is the band’s ninth full length album.
The last couple of years it had remained quite silent around this band. Their previous album dates back to 2004 but now they are back with a new release to show the world it is not the time of forgetting about them yet. The album has some good solo’s that will find their way to the fans easily. The vocals are really stable, not too many extreme outbursts, Harry Conklin has stayed true to himself. Not much effort for him, he seem to have a strong voice of himself so not much need for a lot of vocal tricks to make an impression. What is the perfect addition in this album is alternative instruments that are used in several songs, it seems to make the story complete but it is done in subtle way.
The band brought an album that shows off that they are 30 years around. It summarizes their existence and they show that they bring enough variation to keep it going for many years.
