Joel Alme is a pop singer from Gothenburg, Sweden. He is the former lead singer for Spring in Paris. Joel Alme released his debut album „A Master of Ceremonies“ on April 22, 2008 with “Queen’s Corner” being the single. His second studio album called “Waiting for the Bells” is released now.
This singer songwriter has specialized on something that you don’t find all the time, especially not by songwriters that age: Joel Alme dedicated all eleven tracks on his new album “Waiting For The Bells” to swing music. His vocals accompanied by an orchestra or a big band create a timeless album. The music reminds of the 30s with a big band playing along on some songs – orchestra on some others. The album, after having pressed play, seems to continue forever. But not in an annoying way with you wishing for it to be over. No! This album is meant to last long. And once it’s over, you start feeling a gap Joel Alme’s music has filled before. Listening to “Waiting For The Bells” is opening a new horizon in your mind. “Waiting For The Bells” seems to have a spirit of its own. A wonderful new album that belongs in every collection of art lovers!
