Releasedate: 19-10-2010; Label: Paragon Records

The New York based Dimentianon makes a combination of Death and Black Metal. The band is formed in 2002 (but has been under another name since 1995) “Collapse The Void” is their third full length release.
Formerly known as The Forgotten, this band is also known as being a side project of many Sectioned members. This sets quite expectations and it must be said that you can feel fulfilled soon enough. The first song kicks in full aggression. Why bother to intro, just kick in right from the start. A strong force formed by drums, though a bit behind at some points, it supplies a varied backing in the music. Blast beats are there, but also in the slower regions it stands solid. Guitars seem to fit in quite well and vocal wise there is not much to complain about either. Deep enough and perfectly controlled. Maybe the band is not bringing something completely new, it isn’t copycatting either. They give enough place for Death Metal fan to pick this up. As if we have to make some remark it must be the artwork, it doesn’t really bring you to what the band is about. Never mind, small detail. Just enjoy.
