Berliner Bomben Chor consists of 5 people from Berlin. As a relatively new band they have just released their debut album called “With Greetings From Hell”. I never pictured hell as being dark neither did I ever think of Berlin as being hell. But the cover of Berliner Bomben Chor shows a picture of Berlin at night, so a quite dark image. Twelve tracks are on the album.
Somewhere between Gothic Rock and Horropunk Berliner Bomben Chor is rocking in their own little world. A dark voice combined with harsh riffs, sometimes even with a female vocalist is sending you a message “With Greetings from Hell”. The lyrics are in German and English. Sometimes the music reminds a little bit of Bela B. Somehow it doesn’t quite feel lie there’s a consistent line throughout the album but maybe that is exactly what the band intended to do. Who knows. Berliner Bomben Chor and their debut album “With Greetings From Hell” is somewhere between good and bad. A nice to have, but not a must have. Maybe the second album will leave a longer lasting impression on its listener. For now we have to stick with their first album “With Greetings From Hell”.
