Armagedon is a Polish Metalband who is currently releasing their second album. It has been quiet around these guys for a long time, their previous album was released in 1993. The band have been around for some more years though. “Death Then Nothing” was released in 2009 and will be available for a wider audience since 2010.
So after 16 years there must be hell of a surprising coming , you would say and this might be partially true. It is typical Death Metal as you might have expect from a Polish band. It all goes forward quite well. A little step away from the stereotypical filthiness might be that the production is quite clean. How much that will be appreciated is quite a personal factor for each listener but it seems like the band did not cross the line with it to us. The songs are not the most elaborated but quite enjoyable to listen. Hear the solo’s here and there, decent riffage and dome slight melodic elements in the sound that brings this album above those plenty thousand others that bring their music to the world. Armagedon is worth to check out, but let’s hope the band does not let the world wait for that long again before another release is coming. We surely want to follow the development of their music.
