Founded in 1982, they have played countless shows, released many hits that have had a huge impact on generations and the band has grown to one of the best punk bands Germany has to offer. Well over thirty years of making music and playing to the people has had quite an impact not only on their fans but also on the band members. And this is only one of the things you can realize when watching this documentary. It is an insight into their thoughts, the life on the road, behind the scenes of each show and much more.
Even the moment as Campino fell sick and had to cancel shows is captured on this DVD. A brutally honest moment and probably the roughest part of that tour.
But except for that one sad moment, the rest of the DVD is filled with joy, passion and music. Die Toten Hosen are talking about their career, their fans, their shows, how the prepare for a tour, what their secret behind the hits is and other interesting facts of being on tour and making music.
The main part of the DVD lasts for almost two hours, ending with the tour in Argentina. An interesting insight on how fans and the punk rock scene is different there compared to Germany. The DVD also includes bonus material that lasts for almost thirty minutes. So well over two hours of punk rock behind the scenes. Check it out.
