Formed in the late seventies by twin brothers Bones and Tezz Roberts, and Rainy Wainwright, Discharge changed the face of punk – and indeed extreme music itself – with their stunning “Realities Of War” EP, a four-song outpouring of pure intensity that boiled punk down to its basic components of rage, frustration and violent rebellion. Joined by Cal Morris, a diminutive vocalist with the roar of a lion, Discharge stumbled upon a sound that was so ugly, it was beautiful; so horrifying, it was irresistible – and it ushered in a whole new wave of gnarlier, nastier UK punk, and ultimately paved the way for hardcore and thrash. Now they have a brand new album out.
Going by the name of “End Of Days”, the album comes with fifteen songs. Fast and thriving music is blasting right at you after pressing play. The vocals are shouted. The fast rhythm causes your adrenaline level to rise. Discharge is keeping up the pace and volume until the end of the album. The guitar riffs are fast and distorted, only the beating on the drums is faster.
Discharge created a loud punk album that will get your adrenaline level up high and your muscles twitching big time. So all you punk lovers out there, get the brand new Discharge album “End Of Days” now!
