Roam is a British pop punk band from Eastbourne. The band was formed in September 2012. The band consists of vocalist Alex Costello, bass guitarist Matt Roskilly, drummer Charlie Pearson, guitarist and backing vocalist Alex Adam, and guitarist Sam Veness. The group was signed to Hopeless Records in 2014. They have now released their debut album “Backbone”.
The album comes with twelve tracks and lasts for almost forty minutes. The album starts out with a radio announcement. Then the music sets in. Fast and thriving music with great lyrics stick with you until the end of “Backbone”. The vocals are strong, so are the arrangements. The guitars create catchy melodies while the drums keep the rhythm. All in prefect unison, to create the addictive sound. You will instantly fall in love with “Backbone”. It is an easy going album that you can listen to in every mood and it will comfort you. Whether it gives you strength, calmness or helps you to get your mind off things. “Backbone” can do it all.
Roam created a brilliant debut album with “Backbone”. Catchy and thriving music that will please all rock and punk fans. I am sure, we will hear a whole lot more about these guys in the near future. Keep your eyes and ears open for the UK band Roam. Until then enjoy their debut album “Backbone”.
