The German metalcore band Callejon has released a live DVD that they filmed in Cologne. The band exists since 2002 and have grown quite a fan base since then. The band had just released their sixth studio album “Wir Sind Angst” earlier this year. Most of Callejon’s songs are in German.
The release “Live in Köln” comes as DVD and CD. With eighteen tracks, the concert recording lasts for almost ninety minutes. The track list includes two cover songs: “Schwule Mädchen” by Fettes Brot and “Schrei Nach Liebe” by Die Ärzte. “Live in Köln” also includes a drum solo as well as a few other instrumentals. Callejon comments almost every song, telling a little something about it, or talks to the fans, asking them questions or making jokes. The audience answers and cheers, applauding loudly after each song and singing along to the lyrics. Sometimes even without the singer. While listening and watching “Live in Köln” you feel as if you were there, amongst the audience. A part of the show. You can feel the passion and love for the band from the fans and vice versa.
“Live In Köln” is a great live recording that makes you want to go out and see Callejon live. A fun band that knows how to have a good time and shares that time with you. Luckily they are hitting the road this winter. So go out, get this live album or the DVD and buy your tickets while you can. Callejon is waiting for you.
