Born For Bliss is a Dutch Wave formation that is formed by Frank Weyzig. We know him from previously playing in Clan of Xymox but now he is releasing the album “Falling Back To Never” with Born for Bliss.
The band has a longer history than the discography would make you suspect. Many years they were gone but now a new album is ready for the world. And the album appears quite interesting. From varied sides of music you see that this album has its influences. Now really strict about one thing, the band creates a sound that unites everything well even though here and there you may find them standing apart a bit still. With a lot of passion an drama it is not really hard to feel yourself flowing into the music which is an important factor for this release. It speaks of everyday themes, feelings that one may recognize and so you easily live into it. But it also has some dark moments and then it asks for the listener to be open for that. Like for example “Wrong” which has a bit of a Tiamat feeling over it.
When you really want it, it is not hard to let yourself get carried away by these guys, but maybe sometimes you need to put the effort in it. It is an excellent release that may need to grow on you, but has some truly beautiful moment to discover.
