Alternative Rock formation One Wonders from Netherlands is releasing a new EP. It is called “Heart Over Mind” and it is out now.

At first sight the vocals in this release reminded me a bit of Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance). The first song in the Ep has a couple of moments that are typical to be found in a MCR song. But when you listen to the other songs on the EP, you will find there are different sides as well. Perhaps aa bit more dreamy, less direct and more mystique. The instrumental part of the band suits quite well with that thought. Never going over the top but adding enough to the sound to make it substantially dramatic when needed. A powerful passion is coming towards you and it is pleasant to listen to. What this EP is missing is that one catchy song that keeps in mind. The single that breaks them through. A catchy refrain that everyone still remember years later. But, it is only an EP. When the guys are presenting us a full length we hope to see this one present just as well.

“Heart Over Mind” is a pleasant introduction to the band, one you will listen a few times and leave you hoping for more. What any EP should do.
