The American electro punk band Mindless Self Indulgence has a new album out. Founded in 1997, this is now their sixth full length studio album and it is called “Pink”.
The album includes nineteen songs of which fifteen songs are unreleased tracks and the remaining four songs are covers. The subtitle of the album name states “1990-1997”. Apparently this is the story about this time rage, when Jimmy Urine, the founder of Mindless Self Indulgence, created and formed the sound, which Mindless Self Indulgence now have. “Pink “ sure is an interesting collection of songs that get you either on the dance floor or into an insane asylum. Crazy arrangements and lyrics that should never be taken too serious, Mindless Self Indulgence has created yet another mind twisting album. The melodies create atmospheres that can change with your mood. The song “Envy” has its lyrics backwards. There is a lot to explore on “Pink”.
Whether or not “Pink” truly came to live between 1990 and 1997 or not, this album is a masterpiece. The bands music was and always will be unique. So go ahead and put on your straightjacket and press play on “Pink”. Mindless Self Indulgence’s brand new release awaits you desperately.
