Promehee has its base in Switzerland and started in 2008. The make Metalcore and had their debut coming out in 2012. This year they return with a brand new release called “Unrest” and it is out now.
Promethee is a band with a mind of their own. No following trends but doing what they want to do and you can see that when they could have taken a very commercial approach they chose differently. Mixing in different influences, a bit of Progressive comes in just as well as you could see them go Mathcore, the guys like to keep their options open. Flawlessy they let you go through these different sides of them, no weird changeovers but all executed with severe care. This does result in the fact that it is not really an accessible album. You will have to listen to it a couple of times to get to the sense of it and each spin you will discover more through the layers that they applied.
So “Unrest” may be well chosen as a name for this album. Getting to it means investing time and who has that to spare these days? The question is, is it worth the investment? We would day it is! You may find something that is just a bit different and will entertain you long time.
