Atreyu is back. It has been quiet around them since they called their quits some years ago, but they decided to come back and are now releasing their new album “Long Live”.
Fresh and energetic the band is starting with their new album. It is full of power and it is as if you are being transferred back in time. Atreyu has not really changed that much in the years of absence. Though it must be said they are not completely copying their own sound. Here and there the band has been peeking around at some other genres to blend these in and diversify themselves with it. It works out rather well for the guys, they will make a step towards the commercial side. MTV is ready for them and so is a whole new generation that will find their way to Metal through bands like Atreyu. The older fans will perhaps prefer the more harder songs where the album started with but as they did not lose their original concept at all it will probably hit grounds there as well.
A surprising comeback, strong and energetic as we are used from them but also with a little step towards a catchy and commercial side. Let’s see how that works for them.
