Tracer is an Australian rock band from Adelaide that has been formed more than a decade ago. They have now released their third full length studio album which the Australians called “Water For Thirsty Dogs”. The album includes ten tracks. A little bit of sleaze and a little bit of grunge mixed with Rock’n’Roll. That should describe the sound of the music Tracer created for this album quite well.

In these forty minutes you are reminded of Foo Fighters, Hardcore Superstars and maybe even a little bit of Iron Maiden. The vocals are smooth, not edgy, but quite high pitched like you would know it from the metal in the 80s. Only for some songs you can find some edges that remind a little bit of Foo Fighters. The guitars are taking over the part for setting the atmosphere and mood, creating the melodies that you can move along to. Tracer has created a strong album that every rock fan will love. The lyrics are tales, talking about this and that. Interesting if you want to listen to it, but you can also focus on the melodies and music, and let them take you away from the here and now. Sway along to the music, tap along or even dance along.
