Big Business is a formation from USA that formed in 2005. Heavy metal/Sludge is what the guys are after and a decade after their start is time for album number four to see light. “Battlefields Forever” is out now.
Sludge usually falls pretty thick on you, a reason to like it, a reason to hate it but it seems like Big Business has a way of releasing some shine on it. Did they stuff it up with feathers? No, it is the wise choice of riffs that keep you delighted throughout the whole release. It are also the vocals that are maybe not always experimental, but seem to have a little edge on them.
The strength in “Battlefields Forever” is to be found in the way the band makes the songs connect. The have taken you buy the hand a guide you through them, seeing the little escapes the guys have been doing here and there but always bring it back to the confidential path. At the end it may be a bit tougher to stick on the ride, but it does not demotivate to end it with them.
Altogether the guys have done a fine release in which they put their own face first, not making it all too much alike with other artists but yet set a confidential sound with this album.
