Ancillotti – The Chain Goes On

Ancillotti is an Heay Metal formation from Italy. The band is formed in 2009 and released an EP in 2012. This year the band comes with their debut full length album, “The Chain Goes On” is out now.

What comes to notice is that although the band is giving you a debut album, they have a clear view of their sound and obviously have taken the time to put that out on this release. They are given you eleven well balanced tracks that suit together perfectly. Strong riffs, perhaps sometimes a bit inspired by a variousity of acts. Maybe that could have been brought to a level of less obvious, but when looking at the whole it is comes out well. NWOBHM is reviving in “The Chain Goes On”. Think some Saxon, and some Tank perhaps.
So perhaps you are not to expect something completely new, but when listening to the tracks you will find yourself enjoying “Legacy of Rock”, “Devil Inside” and “Sunrise” as if they are classics of their own. When the years pass by and the band comes with more, they may become so at least.

“The Chain Goes On” is quite a start for these Italians. What you are longing for is to see what the band’s own face is, their unique selling point and that may be a bit harder to find at this point, but with some little refinements the band will draw the lines a bit more clear in future perhaps.
