Alkerdeel – Lede

The Belgian Black Metal formation Alkerdeel got loads of attention with the album “Morinde”. A couple of splits have come out in between but now it is time for the new release. “Lede” is out now.

The band did not stick with the sound they had before, surely it is there but they took it on a ride of evolvement. The splits as experiments in between, now coming to a bit heavier sound. Bringing more elements in there that go right into your head, the play with you. The filth is there as part of what Alkerdeel always did, but they have put more focus on the way they take you into their sound. A farting devil is up the cover. Joking and symbolizing that the band plays it deep but leaves some room for humour and interpretation. The further you get in the track list the meaner they become, they shred you to parts with evil atmospheres and at the end of “Gråt Deleenaf” you may have a murderer’s look into your eyes.

Alkerdeel evolves and it may have become more mind crushing than ever. “Lede” shows that they can bring something new, but stick also with the usual filth. One that will stick around for a while!
