Himmel is a project by Luca Bluefire. He collaborates with a diversity of artists on this very first release called “A Long Cold Winter”.
These dreamy tunes are all written by Luca himself and with the careful selection of vocalists he created the album to be giving you a diversity of styles. Starting with the first single called “Reverie” a song that sticks in mind easily and comes with a whole lot of passion the vocals are brought while taking the risks and it came out well, good to see that it’s not the safest way that has been chosen, but a more interesting way that leads to results like that.
Continuing with “Promises” you are listening to a different style, a more calm and relaxing song and some more of that follows. Coming to “The Dark” you are listening to a more pop oriented track and towards the end of the album there are some more darker songs.
Looking at what unites these tracks you have to listen the records a bit more. The instrumentals are doing a great part for it, but the overall dreamy atmosphere is just as much of a factor in that. The diversity of the album is exciting, just making you wonder how this would be brought in a live situation. But “A Long Cold Winter” is an album that keeps in rotation for a while, Much to be found, much to discover and that’s how we like them!
