After The Fall formed in 2000 in New York and have since molded their sound into a refined, technical showcasing of melodic hardcore and speedy skate punk on releases across labels like Paper + Plastick, Mightier Than Sword, Shield and more. Their newest album “Dedication” is dedicated to original bassist and friend Brian J. Peters, who passed away on October 1, 2013.
Coming with ten tracks this album is all about the original bass player. The album lasts for merely twenty minutes but is extremely intense with its lyrics. Wrapped in catchy punk tunes this album is entirely about the loss of a dear friend that has passed in 2013. Sending out condolences to friends and family, thanking for what he has done, stating that the band only exists because of him, “Dedication” is all about coping with the loss and saying the last words that could never be said. As sad as this might seem, it is a beautiful last service. Out in the open, for everyone to hear, the band is saying goodbye, remembering the good times. Sometimes slightly shouted vocals, sometimes sung, the singer transports the message out into the world. Fast guitar riffs, bass and drums accompany him and make this a quick one. But it will remain in your hearts for much longer. So go get this beautiful album “Dedication” by After The Fall.
