We Are the Ocean is a four piece English rock band from Loughton, Essex, consisting guitarist, vocalist Liam Cromby, bass guitarist Jack Spence, guitarist Alfie Scully and drummer Tom Whittaker.
Vocalist Dan Brown left the band in 2012. They are signed to Hassle Records in the United Kingdom and SideOneDummy Records in the United States. The fine Englishmen have now released their fourth full length studio album, called “Ark”. Coming with thirteen songs, the album includes acoustic singer-songwriter pieces, as well as pop rock tracks that are catchy and get you dancing along to the music. Whilst other tracks are beautiful rock music with grand melodies. We Are The Ocean sure know how to impress and leave a piece of their music behind. A piece that is stuck in your head and heart for ever. All songs are absolutely catchy and full of emotion and energy that easily infect you. Towards the end of “There’s Nothing” a choir sets in to join the vocals which adds a certain depth to the song. “Ark” is a fun album, spreading good vibes and heart warming emotions that last much longer than the album itself.
