Fiction Plane has been grown a lot through the years. With many touring and a couple of solid albums the band manage to retrieve a strong fan base in diverse countries. Anno 2015 the band is showing the world album number four: “Mondo Lumina”.
The rockers from Fiction Plane have a steady base and with this release they are not breaking away too much from what we have seen from them before, but simply expand on what makes them what they are. Strong melodies and catchy tunes are all over it again. Maybe a bit more tendency towards the commercial side here and there, but having a lot of chart potential is not a bad thing for a band like them. Listening to songs like “Where Do We Go From Here”, which is also released as a single makes you realize that the band is one that has it all. Good compositions, a lot of drive to get out there and perform all that for the fans and yet a little bit of attitude in it. The band does not completely submit to commerce but found a good balance between what the majority want to hear and what they want to bring.
“Mondo Lumina” is a solid rock album that has plenty of songs that you will be able to sing along. Simply buy it now and see them on tour while you still can. They may be sold out faster than you think!
