The Prosecution is a Skacore band from Bavaria, Germany. You could almost call them a big band with eight band members. Founded in 2002 – as a quintet back then – this is their third full length studio album. It is called “Words With Destiny” and comes with twelve tracks. Fast and thriving music along with brass and rock this album jumps right at you. Fast and mostly shouted lyrics talk about life and its troubles.
The vocalists take turns in telling you their stories about life and what is wrong with society. Making sure they don’t joke but take their lyrics very serious, delivering messages to the world, The Prosecution puts quite some seriousness into their vocals. Some songs remind of Sum41 or Billy Talent, especially when it comes to the vocal parts. But the Ska in the music lets you forget about this quite fast and drags you along to move and jump along to the music. From fast dancing to slow songs to sway and take breaths, “Words With Destiny” has them all. Especially towards the end the songs get slightly calmer, not much though. This album is meant to have a good time with. Grab some friends and some beer, turn on the record player and press play on “Words With Destiny”. The third album by The Prosecution.
