Singer/Songwriter Devon Sproule is based in Canada. In 2011 a release called “I Love You, Go Easy” which we featured and this year there is another release coming from Devon’s hands. This time it is not just Devon, but also Mike O’Neill, which is part of the Indie Rock formation Inbreds as well.
Just as we got to know Devon, the release has a mixture of jazzy sounds and folk feelings. Mike his input of indie is simply adding an extra dynamic to the rich mixture it was and together it melts down to a sound that can even be overwhelming and intimidating. There simply is so much to impress you with that it all may need some time to fall into place. The serenity of the voice the instrumentals are smartly placed in the music to add a bit of drama into it, a whole vibrant collection of sounds. It is obviously that the two strengthen each other and that as a team they can show this collaboration to work out very well. One of the highlights of the release can be found in a track like “Magic In The Panic” in which the both are coming together very well, a summarizing of what the whole album will bring you.
