Dyscordia is a Melodic Metal formation from Belgium. We saw them earlier this year at Dokk’em Open Air festival but that was not the only thing the band did this year. They also released their debut full length album called: “Twin Symbiosis”.
The band already proved live to us that they have a good idea of how to present themselves. With some Prog influences the band makes the whole sound playful and manage to capture your attention just a little longer. We did find the balance in the vocals a bit unsteady in their live appearance but in the recorded version you get to know the songs when it sounds more stable, a total win for the band! Their voices match well and now we can hear it very clearly. The both guitarist also show they can get upfront when needed and put their stamp on the sound. The two create some truly surprising moments here and there which makes you realize that the band can be up for quite some when given the time to have things happening for them.
The whole band work together well and Dyscordia gives everyone a chance to shine without losing sight of the whole outcome. “Twin Symbiosis” is an excellent start for these Belgians!
